Your Life As An Aussiedoodle Guardian

Imagine the heartwarming journey of welcoming an Aussiedoodle into your home as a guardian family. You get the chance to nurture and love one of the most adorable, intelligent picks of the litter—a true bundle of joy without the usual cost of bringing a pedigree puppy into your family.

Having a direct line to your breeder's expert advice is like holding a treasure map to your puppy's well-being. Whether you have questions about health, behavior, or training, you're never alone; guidance is just a heartbeat away.

Being a guardian family isn't just about the perks; it's a meaningful contribution to the future of the Aussiedoodle breed. Your involvement ensures that the legacy of these delightful companions continues to bring happiness and love to homes for generations.

The emotional rewards are profound. Witnessing the marvels of growth, from playful puppy antics to the tender moments of parenthood, offers invaluable life lessons and memories, especially for children. It's an opportunity to teach them about care, love, and the beauty of life's cycles.

And then, there's the promise of a lasting bond. After their contracted time as breeding parents, your Aussiedoodle settles into a life of leisure as your devoted companion, deepening the love and connection you share.

Embarking on this journey as a guardian family offers a unique blend of joys, responsibilities, and the sweet satisfaction of playing a vital role in your Aussiedoodle's life and the happiness it brings to others.

Guardianship of Breeding Dogs Means Happier Moms and Puppies

At our breeding program, we are committed to the ethical and loving treatment of our Aussiedoodles, which is why we utilize guardian homes. A guardian home is a place where a breeding dog lives as a permanent family member, enjoying the same love, care, and attention as any beloved pet, rather than residing in a kennel environment.

Guardian homes are fundamental to ensuring that each dog experiences a nurturing, family-oriented life. These homes provide a stable and affectionate environment, allowing our dogs to develop strong bonds with their human families. This arrangement benefits the dogs' overall well-being and contributes positively to their socialization, which in turn, affects the temperament and health of their puppies.

Incorporating guardian homes into our breeding program means that our Aussiedoodles are raised in a setting that prioritizes their emotional and physical health. It allows us to keep the number of dogs at our main facility to a minimum, ensuring each one receives the utmost care and individual attention.

This approach is a testament to our commitment to the welfare of our dogs. It ensures they live as cherished family members, enjoying the comforts and love of a home throughout their lives, not just after their breeding responsibilities end. By choosing a breeder that uses guardian homes, you're supporting a practice that places the highest value on the dignity, happiness, and well-being of the dogs.

When you select a puppy from a program that employs guardian homes, you're not just bringing a well-loved, well-adjusted pet into your family; you're also endorsing an ethical and compassionate breeding philosophy that makes a real difference in the lives of these wonderful animals. It's a choice that resonates with our deep respect and affection for the Aussiedoodle breed.

 Maintain Health

To ensure a long and healthy life with your pet and to ensure that they have a safe breeding life and raise healthy well-adjusted pups, we expect that you maintain their health. This means that you will provide adequate exercise, keep them at a healthy weight, feed high-quality food, provide the dog with basic veterinary care, including: yearly wellness visits and vaccines, treat medical issues and, keep them on monthly, preventative medications against heart-worms, fleas and ticks.

Care For The Dog

This dog will live with your family for the rest of its life.  During this time you will provide the dog with a caring, safe and loving home. You will contain the dog in a fenced-in yard or on a leash when out in public. You will Keep the dog clean and well-groomed.

Train The Dog

This will be your dog, but may occasionally stay with little bear paws.  For both the satisfaction of your family and ours we expect all dogs to be houseborken trained on basic commands (sit, stay, wait, etc.), and attend obedience classes.

We expect that you will keep dog socialized with dogs and people of different ages and sizes.

Join The Team

As a gaurdian family you will be a part of the little bear paws breeding program. This means that you are expected to track and notify the breeder when the female dog has come into her estrus cycle. You may be asked to meet the breeder when dog is needed for breeding purposes, to drive the dog to appointments or give the dog up for approximately a week during the breeding period.  You must be able to prevent dogs from unapproved mating.  All females will whelp at Little Bear Paws facility, so your female dog will stay with breeder during the whelping period.  You will be expected to keep the dog within 30 minutes (male) or 1hr (female) to Little bear paws (Ixonia Wi)
